Milford Loreto Community School History

Loreto Community School was set up in 1966 by the Loreto Order Sisters. Since then, the school in Milford, County Donegal, has undergone construction and extension work. 

Today, the school provides a wide range of sports for schoolchildren of all ages to enjoy. Loretto Community School uses black and green for their school sports team kits and PE uniform. 

Popular team sports for 2025/26 include: basketball, gaelic, rugby, and soccer. The school’s team sports cover a range of years and ages for children and young people to take part including 1st and 2nd Year, and U14-19.

2025 gaelic games have included:

  • U16 Girls team v Loreto Letterkenny
  • U16 Girls team v St Ciaran’s College
  • Senior Girls team v Rosses Community School
  • Senior Girls team v St. Columba’s College
