Letterkenny AC – Club History & Identity

Letterkenny Athletic Club was established in 1972 and has grown to become one of Donegal’s leading athletics clubs. Based at the Danny McDaid Track at the Aura Leisure Centre, the club supports juvenile, senior and masters athletes of all abilities, across track & field, road running, cross-country & indoor athletics.

With a membership of over 500, including more than 350 juvenile athletes and 160 senior members, Letterkenny AC is the largest athletic club in the county. In recent years the club has embarked on a new chapter by acquiring Breffni Villa, Sallaghagrane to develop its own clubhouse close to the track.
